TUBALL GRAPHENE NANOTUBES: GOOD PERFORMANCE ON ALL KEY PARAMETERS
In contrast to other conductive agents, TUBALL graphene nanotubes are a versatile conductive agent offering good performance on all key parameters
Preserved light colors
Application of TUBALL graphene nanotubes via TUBALL MATRIX concentrate provides full range of electrical resistivity of 108–104 Ω·cm, while preserving wide range of light colors to meet customer requirements, including prompt visual inspections, more promote and efficient servicing
Maintained mechanical properties
TUBALL nanotubes, in contrast to traditional conductive agents, mainatin mechanical properties of the original non-conductive coating resulting in high level of durability and prolonged service life
Preserved adhesion with TUBALL nanotubes
Maintained impact resistance with TUBALL nanotubes
Retained resistance to cracking after gradual deformation
ISO 2409. No detachment of coating from substrate after cross-cut adhesion test
ISO 6272. Full resistance to falling 1 kg weight indenter impact from 50 cm height directly to the coating and from the opposite side
ISO 1520. Full resistance of coating to cracking and detachment from a substrate by indentation to 7 mm depth
Easy-to-apply
TUBALL MATRIX has to be processed with standard equipment broadly used in coating industry
Standard single shaft high speed mixer
25 min total dilution time
Prompt quality control with a grindometer to reach particles size ≤ 15 µm
Other benefits, provided by TUBALL nanotubes for lining coatings:
• Less influence on rheology compared to other additives
• Low dosage gives higher flexibility in the final formulation
• Stable over time and independent of humidity electrical resistivity without “hot spots”
• Low dosage put less requirements for solvent usage
• Stable quality for large industrial batches
• Easy-to-process and low dosage makes logistics less complex and efficient
TUBALL graphene nanotubes are applied via easy-to-use additive TUBALL MATRIX, which is a line concentrates based on polymer carriers and pre-dispersed TUBALL graphene nanotubes
Conductive lining coatings for tanks for easily combustible materials
REQUIREMENTS
• Volume resistivity of 106–105 Ω·cm
• Permanent and stable level of resistivity
• Preserved light colors to facilitate visual inspections
TUBALL SOLUTION
20–30 wt.% of conductive mica in an epoxy system was replaced with 0.3 wt.% of TUBALL MATRIX 207 (TUBALL single wall carbon nanotube pre-dispersed concentrate)
Other benefits valued by the customer:
Processing with standard equipment widely used in the coating industry
Conductive lining coatings, applied in tanks for storage and transportation of flammable chemical products, put technical requirements for both producers of lining coatings as well as for service companies. The choice of a conductive agent becomes critically important to provide required electrical conductivity, while maintaining properties of the initial coating.
Applicating of conductive lining coatings, which are to be benefited by TUBALL nanotubes application, include:
• Containers for flammable substances including alcohols
TUBALL nanotubes can be used in production of lining coatings complied to following standards and recommendations: EN 14015, TRbF 401, GOST (ГОСТ 1510-84), NFPA 77, etc.
